The Mission

At Unshackled, our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals who suffer from Raynaud's syndrome or Rheumatoid Arthritis (Reuma) by providing them with heating gloves that enable them to combat the harsh elements of nature during colder periods of the year without having to endure the severe symptoms that are associated with these conditions.

The challenge

Enduring a biting cold that seeps into your hands, making them feel frigid and unresponsive, this is a feeling most people can relate to. Individuals dealing with Raynaud's Syndrome and Rheumatoid Arthritis endure this discomfort to a significantly greater extent than those unaffected. Treatment for these conditions involves a combination of medications, often associated with adverse long-term effects such as blood clots and damage to arteries or vessels. While some doctors might suggest staying indoors during cold weather, this approach is not considered a feasible and acceptable solution.

The solution

The solution developed for these conditions is a unique heating glove that provides heating tailored to each individual. The glove ensures heating is distributed across the entirety of the hand. The heating level will be controlled via an application on which each individual can control where and how much heat should be applied. This glove has been developed in partnership with InuHeat and the glove already possesses CE and FCC certification.
